Guided Snorkel Tours in Tobermory
Jump in the cool, clear, turquoise waters of Tobermory to explore shipwrecks and geological points of interest in and around the Fathom Five National Marine Park.
Snorkel tours are suitable for experienced or novice snorkelers and swimmers.
There is no minimum age requirement and participants may choose to return to the vessel at any time. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Offering 2 hour daytime tours that visit either a shipwreck site or the famous Grotto at Indian Head Cove. For those with a full day already planned, join our shorter 1.5 hour evening tour departing daily at 6pm to explore the shipwrecks in nearby Big Tub Harbour!
Daytime Tours from $65 + HST
Duration: 2 hours
Departures: 10am | 12pm | 2pm | 4pm *not all departures are available daily

Evening Tour from $40 + HST
Duration: 1.5 hours
Departures: 6pm ONLY
Sites: Big Tub Harbour Shipwrecks ONLY
What you will see? Snorkel sites are chosen based on wind conditions and requests. Daytime tours will visit either a shipwreck or a geological point of interest. Visiting a specific site cannot be guaranteed.

Important Note: All snorkel trips are subject to change due to weather or sea conditions at the operator's discretion. Daily departure times will vary and additional tours may be added at any time, based on demand.
Daytime Snorkel Tour
From $65 + HST
- Duration: 2 hours (plus check-in 1 hour prior to departure for gear fitting)
- Check-in time: 1 hour prior to departure
- Departure times: 10am | 12pm | 2pm | 4pm
- Minimum Age: None
- Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
Sites include: the Grotto at Indian Head Cove or a shipwreck site such as the W.L. Wetmore, Minch, Avalon Voyager or Sweepstakes
Requirements: Basic swimming skills. Participants should be comfortable in water too deep to stand.
Evening Snorkel Tour to Big Tub Harbour
From $40 + HST
- Duration: 1.5 hours (plus check-in 1 hour prior to departure for gear fitting)
- Check-in time: 5pm - 1 hour prior to departure
- Departure time: 6pm only
- Minimum Age: None
- Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
Sites: Big Tub Harbour shipwrecks including Sweepstakes and City of Grand Rapids
Requirements: Basic swimming skills. Participants should be comfortable in water too deep to stand.
Shipwreck: Sweepstakes (1885) Depth: 10 to 20ft Highlights : This 119 foot long two masted schooner's hull is still intact, the windlass sits on the bow and a portion of the bow railing still stands. The wreck is well preserved and sits just 100' away from the charred remains of the City of Cleveland.
Geological: The Caves (Grotto) Depth: 0 - 15 ft Highlights: see the infamous Indian Head Cove of Bruce Peninsula National Park from the water and snorkel into and around the Grotto!
Note: Going ashore is not permitted during this tour all snorkelers must stay in the water or on the boat.
Shipwreck: W.L. Wetmore (1901) Depth: 10 to 25ft Highlights: Located just below Russell Island. Look for large sections of hull, intact boiler, anchor, & heavy chains, propeller / four bladed screw and a giant rudder! This site also boasts interesting bedrock features.
Shipwreck: Charles P. Minch (1898) Depth: 15 to 30ft Highlights : Located along the shore of beautiful Tecumseh Cove the wreckage includes the ship's sides, bottom, bow and steering wheel!
